Mount Maunganui and the wider Tauranga Harbour offer world-class fishing opportunities year round. Our members target a wide range of species including snapper, kingfish, kahawai, and trevally. Whether you prefer rock fishing, surfcasting, kayak fishing, or heading out on a charter, the Fishing Adjunct connects you with like-minded locals who know these waters inside and out.
Throughout the year, the Fishing Adjunct organises group fishing trips, weekend tournaments, and friendly competitions with prizes awarded back at Club Mount. Our annual fishing competition is one of the highlights of the club calendar, bringing together members for a day on the water followed by a weigh-in and social gathering at the club.
